In the world of mobile, it's next to impossible to keep things under wrap prior to unveiling, with the likes of Samsung, Huawei and Apple all falling victim to leakers. Perhaps Sony can avoid any such breaches though, with the company's upcoming flagship device for MWC 2018 still remaining a mystery.
The latest bit of news about the smartphone is a recent teaser video uploaded to Sony's International Xperia Twitter account, which features a bunch of ethereal lines, a woman's hand and an announcement date.

That's about it though, with no real hints at what the upcoming device will be sporting, or indeed if it will be the successor to a current device or an altogether new offering. Last year, the company impressed with its high specced Xperia XZ Premium in Barcelona, which could mean a new variant is in the cards. That said, Sony is in need of a shake up in our opinion, as their devices, although solid, have failed to make a significant impact in recent years, recently being outsold by the likes of Nokia (HMD Global).
Will this MWC 18 offering be any different? We'll find out on 26 February.
