Sony says 50 games will release on PlayStation VR between October launch and year's end
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 16 March 2016 | Categories: newsWhen it comes to VR and gaming, PlayStation VR (PSVR) looks streaks ahead of the competition. Sony has been drumming up further interest in their immersive gaming platform at Game Developers Conference (GDC) this week, detailing not only the PSVR's pricing and release date, but also some of the games it will feature. Sony has stated that an estimated 50 gaming titles will be launched on PSVR following the two months after its October-slated release.
While we're immensely intrigued the the scope of titles it has planned to debut, we're more excited that they've committed to getting a slew of content ready for the platform, which by and large has proved an issue for VR platforms to date.
To that end, the games seen to date are wide ranging indeed, as the video below showcases. You've got everything from exploration titles like Robinson: The Journey and Eagle Flight, to FPS shooters such as Until Dawn: Rush of Blood and EVE: Valkyrie.
While snippets of these games have surfaced in recent months, we're hoping E3 and Gamescom will showcase a number of upcoming titles for PlayStation VR.
