Last week, Apple and the iStore detailed the local release date for their new offerings - the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. Both devices are slated for a 20 October arrival, but now they're up for pre-order online, with iStore also detailing the pricing for all its iPhone 8 and 8 Plus models.

Pricing for the smaller 4.7" variant starts at R13 499 for the 64 GB version, available in Space Grey, Silver and Gold. iStore are also selling the 256 GB onboard storage flavour of iPhone 8 for R16 499, with the same three colour options as well.

If you're keen on the larger 5.5" iPhone 8 Plus, which features a better camera setup compared to the standard iPhone 8, asking prices start from R15 499 (64 GB) and jump to R18 499 (256 GB), again with three colours on offer.

iStore notes that only online pre-orders are available at this stage. As for the far more interesting iPhone X, still no word on when South Africans can get their hands on it.
