SpaceX is not shy when it comes to posting videos of tests, whether they are successes or failures. Last week saw the latter, as the Elon Musk founded company failed to land one of its reusable rocket prototypes at sea. This week however, is the turn of a success, as SpaceX debuted a video of its Dragon Parachutes in action.

The parachutes, totalling four in all, are designed to deploy from the Dragon capsule as it reenters the Earth's atmosphere following a mission. The video shows the parachute system in action, with a mock capsule hanging beneath.

To date, SpaceX has been contracted by NASA to do supply missions to and from the International Space Station. The contract, which began in 2012, has been deemed a relative success by many, with the only casualty being a cargo mission in June of last year. As such, this latest test could be one of the first steps in readying SpaceX for manned missions.
