Square Enix showcases Final Fantasy XV's driving gameplay
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 1 September 2015 | Categories: newsJust four dudes with awesome hair, a love for black leather and driving in convertible cars. That's Square Enix's idea of a good time anyway. The Japanese game developer has released a new video showcasing the driving gameplay mechanics for its 2016-slated Final Fantasy XV.
In it, our four main protagonists, Prompto, Gladiolus, Noctis and Ingis, take a leisurely drive along the countryside in the Regalia, all while their eccentric hairstyles flow in the wind. More to the point of driving gameplay however, and there will be three distinct viewing styles, as gamers can choose between a third-person, driver or passenger view.
Gamers can also stop at any point along their journey and explore the roadside environment. Added to this, is the ability to manually control the car, although the full extent of how easy it is to use is not shown in the video. We do however get a look at the sumptuous graphics in the game, with the sunset at the end of the video looking particularly stunning.
