To date we've tackled Call of Duty: WWII's multiplayer beta, with the two weekends of gameplay showcasing a FPS title with plenty of promise. How about the campaign though? While we haven't had the chance to try that aspect out just yet, following the release of a new trailer, we at least know what the main storyline will focus on.

To that end, gamers will be taking on the role of Private Ronald "Red" Daniels, a newly minted recruit in the US First Infantry. The campaign for COD: WWII will focus on his part in World War II, as well as his squadron of fellow soldiers.

"We thought we knew what war would be like, but nothing prepares us for this," says Daniels halfway through an action packed trailer. With him and the squad trying to make their way out of Normandy, if the visuals are anything to go by, the campaign should prove as intense as the multiplayer for COD: WWII.

Check out the story trailer below, as well as a short video for each member of your squad.
