Sunguti Business Solutions, a proudly South African employee rewards consultancy firm, has announced the launch of Synchro Systems, a new Saas platform designed to help local companies automate and streamline their reward management process.

The first solution to be released under the Saas platform SynchroProfile, an AI-powered tool that transforms the way organisations create, edit, approve and manage job descriptions. By digitising and standardising this foundational process, SynchroProfile helps ensure consistency in role definitions, supports accurate grading, and provides the basis for fair, transparent pay practices across the business.

South African employers are under increasing scrutiny to demonstrate transparency in how they remunerate employees. Under recent amendments to the Employment Equity Act, designated employers (those with over 50 employees or meeting specific turnover thresholds) are required to submit detailed pay gap data annually, disaggregated by race, gender, and occupational category. Publicly listed companies are also required to disclose internal pay ratios and secure shareholder approval for remuneration policies. Companies that are found to be non-compliant can be fined up to 2% of their turnover. For many organisations, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the fragmented and manual human resource processes are creating risks of non-compliance, inefficiency, and inequity in compensation structures.

“South African companies are being called to lead with greater transparency and accountability regarding how they pay employees,” said Yoliswa Mqoboli, Head of Reward Advisory Services at Sunguti Business Solutions. “Too often, outdated and inconsistent pay systems have undermined trust, left businesses exposed, and widened inequality. We developed this platform to change that and to put fairness, compliance, and credibility at the centre of how organisations reward their people. Fair pay is not a tick-box exercise in our increasingly competitive labour market. It is a legal, social, and business imperative that drives inclusion and long-term sustainability.”

The launch comes at a critical moment for addressing South Africa’s persistent wage disparities. According to recent studies, women earn up to 35% less than men in similar roles, with nearly half of the gap stemming from concentration in lower-paying organisations. By embedding fairness and accountability into pay practices, Synchro Systems aims to help employers tackle these inequities in a structured, transparent way.

The proudly South African system has been designed to align with international disclosure frameworks, such as IFRS S1 and S2, recently adopted by the JSE and National Treasury. This positions local firms to meet global investor demands for workforce-related ESG data while strengthening their competitive edge.

The solution is now available to corporates, consultants, and implementation partners across South Africa, Lesotho, and Eswatini.
