Tag Heuer unveils its second smartwatch for $9 900
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 1 November 2016 | Categories: newsWhen luxury watchmaker Tag Heuer unveiled its Connected offering this time last year, it went for a cool $1 500, and did not feature any smartwatch features out the ordinary. Now the Swiss company has debuted its second smartwatch, which also falls in line with its Connected range.
The new watch is swathed in rose gold and carries an even larger $9 900 price tag according to Engadget. For those struggling to do the maths at home, that's R133 600 given the current Rand-Dollar exchange rate. Added to this, the smartwatch is not available to purchase online, and will necessitate a commute to select Tag Heuer stores in order to get your hands on one.
At this stage, Tag Heuer has not detailed what new features or materials have given rise to the inflated price tag, but with Apple pulling out of the gold luxury smartwatch game, the new Tag Heuer one is the only option that you can blow $10K on.
