Telltale Games announces episodic game series for Batman
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 4 December 2015 | Categories: newsIn April this year, Telltale Games announced a partnership with Marvel to produce episodic game content for the comic book heavyweight. Now, DC seems to have beaten them to the punch with a trailer for its upcoming Batman series. Set to premiere in 2016, precise date not disclosed, this series will chronicle the life of one of DC's most iconic characters.
Telltale, DC and Warner Bros. are still hashing out the details regarding platforms, but the series is set to premiere digitally on home consoles, as well as PCs and mobile devices. While we've seen many different iterations of Bruce Wayne's story unfold on paper and screen alike, this version looks to address the more complex nature of life as a billionaire playboy/masked vigilante.
“This iteration of Batman will give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy,” said Kevin Bruner, co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games.
As for the exact look and feel of the series, no details have emerged, but click on the announcement trailer below, which featured at The Game Awards 2015.
