When it comes to 2-in-1 notebooks, Lenovo seems to be leading the charge with its Yoga range. New to the company's lineup is the Yoga A12, a tablet come notebook that sports Android as its native operating system.

Priced at $299 when it arrives Stateside, the Yoga A12 features a few of the elements spotted on the Yoga Book Lenovo showcased at IFA last year in September. These include the touch-based Halo keyboard, which also touts the ability of learning user's typing habits. Added to this is the ability for the screen to rotate into a number of different modes.

Other specifications see a 12.2" HD display, an Intel Atom x5 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of onboard storage. The 2-in-1 also weighs less than 1 kg, according to Lenovo, which should come in handy when in tablet mode.

While we have not seen this device in person, it seems like a good on-the-go option for desktop PC users who also have an affinity for Android. The Yoga A12 will be available in the States later this week (8 February), but no indication of a local release at this stage.
