Thinner 13-inch and 15-inch Macbook Air rumoured for WWDC 2016 debut
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 30 November 2015 | Categories: newsWhen it comes to thin notebooks, the Macbook Air is widely considered the one to beat. Apple has, however, pushed new announcements for the MacBook Air to the side in recent months, focusing instead on the new-generation of Macbooks and iPad Pro respectively. Perhaps then, that is why a new batch of rumours have cropped up about Apple's ultra thin MacBook. Fanning the embers this time is MacRumours, a pretty reputable source when it comes to this sort of thing. The website is stating that the MacBook Air lineup will receive a refresh in the form of thinner 13" and 15" models.
These two new additions are expected to make their debut at WWDC 2016, which is scheduled for June next year. Following the unveiling, they are expected to arrive in store during Q3 2016. At this stage, it is unclear if an 11" model will be joining the refresh, but MacRumours does have it on good authority that Apple has "fully redesigned" the ultrabook's internal components. As such, we could be seeing a new trackpad, keyboard and battery architecture, like we saw in the latest MacBook.
While more rumours are surely incoming, we'll keep our ears close to the ground.
