Total War video crams 2000 years into 3 mins
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 13 March 2015 | Categories: news2015 marks a 15 year long lineup of Total War games. The franchise is one the longest running in PC gaming, and has 11 titles to its credit spanning a combined total of 2000 years. To celebrate the 15 year anniversary of the franchise, and the nearly 4.8 billion battles that have been waged with the help of the games themselves, Total War has debuted a three minute long video that encapsulates the franchise's journey.
The video showcases some of the most interesting titles among the 11, including Shogun, where gamers had to use their strategic know how in order to take over the small island nation of Japan. Medieval Total War took gamers to Britain, where they stormed castles and fought in gigantic battles. Nowhere was the scale of Total War better on display than in Rome, which saw vast battalions laying siege to Roman cities.
The video offers a great bit of nostalgia for any fan of RTS titles, and Total War in particular. Now the franchise's mantle is being helmed by Total War: Atilla (review), which is a fine addition indeed.
