Trailer for 10 Cloverfield Lane unexpectedly leaps online
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 15 January 2016 | Categories: newsRemember 2008? The FIFA World Cup was fast approaching and rand/dollar was nowhere near as bad as it is now. On the film front, JJ Abrams produced a found-footage sci-fi movie about an alien attack in New York named Cloverfield,. If you haven’t watched it, do so, since it’s amazingly well crafted and gives any monster movie a good run for its money. Since its release way back when, a sequel was always rumoured, but Abrams had his hands filled with respective Star Trek and Star Wars reboots. That's why this new trailer for 10 Cloverfield Lane, which seems like a sequel, caught a few people off guard. So much so, that even IMDB does not have a page for this movie just yet.
While more details are still incoming, you can take a look at the trailer below and make sense of it. From what we can tell it stars John Goodman (The Flintstones, The Big Lebowski) and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Sky High, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World) as two of three people living in an underground bunker. Everything seems to be okay, until a small tremor hits and Winstead's character tries to flee the bunker. Next Goodman ominously utters "Something's coming."
Just like the 2008 film, not much is known about the film apart from its 11 March Stateside release, but hopefully more details will pop up soon. Until then, try and decipher the trailer for yourself.
