Two classic games headed to the Nintendo Switch
By Staff Writer 16 August 2018 | Categories: newsNot one, but two titles were announced as making their way to Nintendo’s wildly popular Switch console this week. The first, apparently leaked ahead of time by Forbes, is Diablo 3. While the Forbes post has since been deleted, all things are permanent on the Internet, as the details were quickly captured.
According to Kotaku, the port will be called the Diablo III Eternal Collection, and along with the base game, will bring the Reaper of Souls expansion, and the Rise of the Necromancer pack along for the ride. As well, in more than a passing nod to The Legend of Zelda, players will be able to deck themselves out in a Ganondorf armour set.
Multiplayer was also confirmed for the incoming port, with four-player local co-op, four-player offline co-op on different Switch consoles, as well as online co-op, being on the cards. Alas, there was no specific date given for the release, apart from it slated to appear this year.
Also inbound for the Switch is Gone Home, a title that first graced the PC back in 2013 and then the consoles thereafter, to critical acclaim. Hit the rather moving trailer below for a glimpse of the game coming home to the Switch on the 23rd of this month.
