With an impending long weekend on the way, Microsoft has unveiled some Easter gaming goodness for all Xbox Live Gold account holders. Throughout April, Microsoft will give away six games to all Xbox Live Gold subscribers, which also happens to be twice the amount of games that Xbox 360 and Xbox One Gold subscribers normally receive each month.

There is a solid batch of game's on offer during April, with each game being made available periodically so they all have their own time to shine. Included are Gear of War: Judgement (1-15 April on Xbox 360), Terraria (1-15 April on Xbox 360), Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag (16-31 April on Xbox 360), Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel (16-31 April on Xbox 360). Completing the list is the beautifully styled Child of Light and Pool Nation FX, both of which will be available throughout April on Xbox One.

It appears that Xbox Live Gold has been a great value-added offering for Microsoft, as the company also announced that more than 100 million games have been purchased as a result of the programme.
