Xbox One discounted until the end of the weekend
By Ryan Noik 17 June 2016 | Categories: newsIf the Xbox One games announced at E3 have spurred you on to finally pick up an Xbox One, you may want to act fast. Prima Interactive has announced that there will be a substantial discount of R1 500 on Microsoft’s console until the 19th of June (Sunday).
This means that the Xbox One 500 GB console with a game, will retail for a recommended selling price of R5 000 (rather than R6 500) and the Xbox One 1 TB console with a game will carry a reduced recommended selling price of R5 500 (down from R7 000). These bundles will be available from all leading South African retailers and e-tailers during the promotion period.
It’s a nifty move, especially in light of E3, currently underway in Las Vegas. Barring the fact the new versions of the Xbox One will be imminent in the year ahead, including a slim version, the current console still has plenty of life in it, and is far from being obsolete.
If it is on your radar, our recommendation would be to opt for the 1 GB version, especially if you plan or purchasing a lot of games for your console, as next gen games can swallow up storage space more quickly than their past gen counterparts.
