They've been a slew of top titles to delve into this year, but for those craving a bit of gaming nostalgia, Xbox's Backwards Compatibility programme was most welcome. The library of Xbox 360 titles repurposed for play on the Xbox One has grown to 104 titles since early November, with 16 new titles on the way.

The latest batch includes such games as Halo: Reach, which was the fifth most requested title on the Microsoft user page, garnering more than 95 000 votes. As such, this along with 15 others will be available for gamers to enjoy as of today.

Some of the titles include Fable III, Braid, DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION, MS. PAC-MAN, Portal: Still Alive and Zuma’s Revenge!.

As far as how popular the Backwards Compatibility program has been, Microsoft's Major Nelson says more than nine million hours have been spent playing Xbox 360 titles on the Xbox One.

Some of the most popular games have been Fallout 3, Gears of War 3 and Assassin's Creed II, all of which received brand new titles during 2015, most likely pointing to why they proved such hits on Backwards Compatibility.
