Zack Snyder offers up first look at J.K Simmons as Commissioner Gordon
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 19 September 2016 | Categories: newsLast week, Justice League director Zack Snyder posted an image of Batman in his tactical suit on Twitter, drawing several comparisons to a former character he filmed: Nite Owl from Watchmen. Not yet done, Snyder took to social media over the weekend, this time showcasing a rather artful black and white picture of the new Commissioner Gordon - J.K Simmons (Whiplash, Spider-Man) - to honor #BatmanDay (17 September).

The image sees Gordon donning a trenchcoat and hat, along with his signature glasses and moustache as he stands next to a lit Bat-signal. He's staring up into the sky for some reason, which is a little weird as Batman normally appears directly behind you, but it's a beautiful image all the same.
Commissioner Gordon will feature in next year's Justice League film, but it's unclear how much screen time he'll have, especially as the movie has quite a bit too cover, including the proper introduction of Aquaman (Jason Mamoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). Not to mention the film's big bad, which will be Steppenwolf, Darkseid's second in command, if rumours turn out to be true.
