Today at 08:00 Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), or 17:00 here in SA, Adobe will unveil Creative Suite (CS) 5 on their website.

The CS5 package is a collection of productivity software tools comprises a number of different programs. Onboard you'll find InDesign CS5, which includes a host of multimedia design tools to create and publish documents for print as well as online media. Also present is Illustrator CS5 that provides you with professional drawing tools, allowing for the creation for unique artwork for any project. Photoshop CS5 pulls together useful photography tools to enable you to amongst others, touch up your photos and edit your images. For movie buffs there's After Effects CS5, which lets users create professional visual effects and motion graphics, whether you're in the film and TV industry or posting your movies to YouTube. It's especially usefull when coupled with another tool for video production, Premier Pro CS5. Finally Dreamweaver CS5 gives web designers and -programmers the ability to easily put together good looking websites.
 
CS5 will also introduce a new design tool, Flash Catalyst CS5, which according to Adobe will allow you to change “Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks artwork into expressive, fully interactive projects without writing code, and leverage the reach and consistency of the Adobe Flash Platform.” The South African media launch of Adobe CS5 will be taking place this evening at The Gallery in Johannesburg.
