Adobe release Photoshop Elements 8
By Thomas McKinnon 6 November 2009 | Categories: newsThe latest version of Adobe’s leading consumer photo editing software, Photoshop Elements, is now available. The company has also released a version 8 of its video editing software, Premiere Elements.
Adobe has stressed the integration of the packages, with the suites featuring an Organiser tool that allows users to organise their media in a single location.
A number of automation tools are also available in both packages such as Adobe Photomerge Exposure in Photoshop Elements 8, which allows users to combine multiple frames of the same scene to tweak the lighting of photos, as well as Smart option in Premiere Elements 8, which offers users an auto-analysis tool to fix shaky footage and lighting problems. These automated features are designed to create a better, more powerful and straightforward experience for users.
Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements are available as standalone packages for R1 050 each or as a suite for R1 550 from www.adobe.co.za. A Mac version of Photoshop Elements 8 is also available for R1 050.
