The Alienware brand, which has long been synonymous with gaming, will once again be making an appearance at the upcoming rAge gaming expo, and Dell has promised that its third appearance at the expo will usher in three things to look forward to.

The first of these is the launch of an Alienware online store that caters specifically for the local gaming community. The site, which will go live on Friday (the first day of rAge), will offer Alienware M14x, M17x and M18x, X51 desktops and peripherals, and will enable users to choose between different specifications and options.

Slashing prices

More welcome news is that gaming enthusiasts will be able to buy an Alienware Aurora desktop at a “drastically reduced” price. Dell explained that attendees need to visit EA’s stand where the Aurora is on display, obtain a reference number and sale price, and then visit the new site in order to purchase the desktop at a discounted rate.

While the PCs on offer are demo units, they will nonetheless carry Dell’s full one year, next business day warranty. Additionally, the desktops will include a copy of Battlefield 3 PC and Battlefield 3 Premium PC.

Winners welcome

Alienware will also sponsor Alienware X51 gaming rigs to the winners of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, StarCraft 2 and Call of Duty 4 Championships, as well as three X51 Rigs for gamers who report on the Do Gaming League (DGL) at the Do Gaming Community Blog.

However, for those not taking part in the competitive sides of the expo, the company assured that there was still other ways to win Alienware prizes. To this end, the company urged attendees to visit  Alienware at rAge, and  collect their brochure, which can be converted into a poster. An Alienware bumper sticker will be attached; placing this bumper sticker “creatively” will give one the chance to win Alienware accessories.

To the point

Alienware’s news is certainly welcome, as Dell appears to be dedicated to making the premium gaming brand increasingly more accessible to this corner of the world.

We have long been fans of the rAge expo, with it steadily earning a must-attend spot on our crammed schedules, and all indications are that this year’s expo will apparently be no less exciting than previous years.
