Following the postponement of its May roadshow after the devastating earthquakes and tsunami in Japan, Canon South Africa has announced that its 2011 EOS roadshow is back on the road in July.

The roadshow allows photographers to get their hands on the latest Canon photographic gear and get the heads-up on new product developments and trends.

Two highly-regarded professional photographers, Dave Hann and Paul Hofman, will show examples of their work at the shows taking place in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban during July 2011.

In keeping with Canon’s 2011 theme, “Be a Tourist in Your Own Town”, they will inspire attendees to start looking at and experiencing their hometown through the eyes of a tourist, offering helpful tips and advice on capturing special moments unfolding around them.

As always, roadshow attendance is free. However, people who would like to attend are required to send their request through to info@onethread.co.za in order to be added to the invite mailing list. Attendees are required to RSVP to secure a seat, with registration opening on the 20th of June 2011.

The dates and venues details for the roadshows are:

Durban
Saturday 9 July 2011, 10:00 to 13:00
Venue: Barnyard Theatre – Gateway

Johannesburg
Saturday 16 July 2011, 10:00 to 13:00
Venue: The Theatre on the Track, Kyalami Park

Cape Town
Saturday 23 July 2011, 10:00 to 13:00
Venue: Ratanga Junction Theme Park, Century City

“After having to postpone the first half roadshow due to the devastating disaster in Japan earlier this year, we are so looking forward to seeing our customers again,” says Michelle Janse van Vuuren, marketing manager at Canon South Africa.

“We’ve been hosting our EOS roadshow for the past five years. Aside from giving local photographers a chance to experiment with our equipment and learn new tricks from top professional photographers, the roadshow gives us a chance to touch base and interact with our customers in an informal, fun and value-adding way,”  Janse van Vuuren added.
