World famous golfing star Tiger Woods may run the risk of having his name and face removed from the successful line of EA PGA Tour golfing titles, if he can’t keep his form up that is.

According to CVG, EA chief executive John Riccitiello said that the publisher has no plans to drop the golfing star yet, but recent drops in performance mixed with his widely publicised divorce scandal may change that position in the future.

"This is no threat against Tiger," Ricitiello said at the Reuters Global Media Summit recently held in New York. "We're with him because he has the promise of being the world's best golfer. We have no plans to move away from him, but it's a business relationship on the basis of we make the best golf game and he's the best golfer," Riticiello continued.

"He sort of stuck with us for a very long time and we made great business together and we're willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for a period of time."

It’s interesting to note however that EA decided not to include the golfer in its recent Facebook based EA Sports PGA TOUR Golf Challenge game.

EA last year stated that Woods' personal problems wouldn't effect his sponsorship position with the company, but not being the best golfer may definitely have an impact. For more on the latest Tiger Woods PGA Tour title, check out our review here.
