HP today announced the launch of a unique social-campaign tied to the release of its innovative Z1 all-in-one workstation.

The "Free Your Imagination" campaign gives young creative users a chance to showcase their work and win an HP Z1 All-in-one workstation in the process. HP has a strong presence across social-networks and this campaign is another step to interact and engage with creative professionals who seek powerful tools to help them with their work.

The "Free Your Imagination" Facebook app gives users an online location to highlight the amazing work they can do. Users can upload anything that inspires them, whether a design, architectural plan, film, animation or computer program. The only rule is that the creation must feature HP in some way. The user who uploads the most creative entry will win an HP Z1 workstation.

HP believes that the Z1 is a perfect fit for creative professionals who need a capable and easy-to-use machine to help them realise their ideas. "When we launched the HP Z1, we knew this product would be a favourite of people who love to create and invent. We looked at designers, architects, animators, and independent professionals and identified the needs of these young professionals at the start of their careers," said Abdur Mohamed, area category manager, Value Products at HP South Africa.

"We built the Facebook app to help them feature their creative work on as many platforms as possible in order to receive exposure and recognition. We are committed to supporting creative individuals at the beginning of their career and therefore we decided it will only be appropriate to give the HP Z1 workstation as a prize for the most impressive creation."

With the "Free Your Imagination" application creators can upload their creation, tag what field it belongs to, and share it with their friends on their Facebook wall. In addition, the application holds a built-in gallery which features all the creations which were uploaded and allows everyone to view the entries and for the creators to receive their much needed exposure.

If you feel you are creative, or struggling to receive exposure for your original creations, HP invites you to "Free Your Imagination" and join in. Users can submit their entries here: https://www.facebook.com/HP.S.Africa/app_301271339946712
