HP has officially announced its first 30" (76.2 cm) monitor which is able to display a range of over 1 billion colours.

The HP ZR30w S-IPS LCD display provides 30-bits per pixel colour resolution and 1.07 billion displayable colours, compared to the 16.7 million colours available on standard screens. According to HP, the display is suited for animators, game developers, broadcasters, designers and graphic artists, for whom accurate colour is crucial.

HP’s ZR30w boasts 4.1 million pixels with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and sports a 16:10 aspect ratio. In terms of connectivity it features a DisplayPort and DVI-D inputs plus an integrated 4-port USB hub. Included in the package is a 6-way adjustable stand that provides tilt, swivel and height adjustability.

The company also introduced their HP X20LED (20"), X22LED (21.5"), X23LED (23"), S2031a (20"), S2231a (21.5"), S2331a (23"), 2310ei widescreen displays with which it is targeting SMEs and the multi-touch capable 2310ti monitor.
