Rockstar Games has announced the first details concerning forthcoming downloadable content (DLC) for its recently released crime adventure L.A. Noire (no.1 on our must-buy games for winter list).

The game developer will be releasing several standalone cases, collectibles as well as challenges via Sony’s PlayStation Network (PSN) and Microsoft’s Xbox LIVE network. These include all of the pre-order exclusive unlockable bonus content as well as a free downloadable weapon.

Gamers will be able to purchase the L.A. Noire Rockstar Pass, a new way to pre-order and purchase DLC, which enables players to access all of the upcoming downloadable content for the game. This pass is available for a “limited-time discounted price” of $9.99 (around R68) on PSN and 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE.
