According to The Guardian, a group of evangelical Christians in Brazil have apparently decided to ban the use of USB connections as they claim it's a mark of Satan-worshippers.

USB or Universal Serial Bus connections have become the preferred data transfer method in recent years, with scores of electronic devices utilising the technology.

The evangelical cult, known as "Paz do Senhor Amado" or "Peace of the beloved Lord", located in the interior of Brazil, has taken a hard stance against USB connections as they claim the connection symbol (pictured) resembles a trident and by association, the Devil.

The cult's founder, "Apostle" Welder Saldanha says the symbol is just another mark of Satan which is always present in Christian homes.

"The symbol of that name is a trident, which is used to torture souls that go to hell. Use only a symbol of those shows that all users of that vile technology are actually worshippers of Satan", explained the ‘Apostle’.

To counteract the mark of evil, followers had to exchange all their USB connections for common connections, and according to Saldanha, Bluetooth was also allowed because, "blue was the colour of the eyes of our saviour Jesus Christ".
