By Andrew Gould 13 August 2008 | Categories: gizmosIf you’re into outdoor sports this pair of glasses could be just the thing for you.
The Esquire Opticam sunglasses feature scratch-resistant UV400 polarised flip-up lenses in a wrap-around sportsman type frame.
“So what?”, you might say, well these sunglasses really are more than just a pair of specs for the sun. The Opticam glasses have a built-in 1.3 Megapixel stills camera so you can document every step of your jog or bicycle ride. According to the manufacturer you can store up to 10 000 images per Gigabyte on the Opticam glasses, at a resolution of 1280x1024 pixels.
You can also add a soundtrack to your workout with Mp3 playback via included earphones. Included, is a wireless remote that controls both music playback as well as the camera. The Opticam glasses interface with your PC using standard USB and the battery life is impressive, with Esquire claiming up to 9 hours of use before it needs to be recharged.
