With the advent of the digital era we men began to say things we never believed possible: “Mine is smaller than yours!”

Yes we’ve all said it and much like wearing a pink shirt it is quite liberating, or so we’ve heard. It is companies like LG that we have to thank for our emancipation from Godzillaism.

LG’s HS101 is an LED Digital Light Processing projector. But, it weighs a mere 0.72kg and brags dimensions of 255 x 443 x 94mm. Forget suitcase sized projectors, the HS101 is the size of a Mills & Boon novel.

The projector runs at a 2000:1 contrast ratio with a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. Better still the LED bulb is said to last up to 20 000 hours. This would literally spell the end of pocket-robbing bulb purchases as there is every likelihood, with moderate use, that the bulb will have the same lifespan as the projector itself.

The little machine looks sleek and snazzy to boot and comes with a trendy book-bag style carry case. Which means that this ultra-portable will have heads turning at your next presentation. RRP: R7199

PROS
The LED bulb is said to last up till 20 000 hours and it weighs less than a kilogram.
CONS
It only has a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.
