Notebook mouses are great for portability and a good idea up until your hand starts cramping after maneuvering your petite rodent for a couple of hours.

Microsoft's innovative Arc mouse takes care of this little problem thanks to a hinge on the back of the mouse that allows it to curl up into a neat little package. Now 60% of its original size it slips easily into your notebook bag.

The wireless transceiver, used to connect the mouse to your PC, is stored at the bottom of the mouse, so you don't have to worry about losing it.

Microsoft provided two AAA batteries, but they are not rechargeable, so include batteries on future shopping lists.

Apart from its portability and impressive design the Arc is left with little else to offer. If you're looking for lots of programmable buttons and other functionality rather go elsewhere. With an RRP of R630 it is also quite pricey.

PROS
Very stylish and ultra-portable
CONS
Included batteries are not rechargeable, besides design it offers little else.
