Ancient Egypt power struggle detailed in new Assassin’s Creed Origins trailer
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 23 August 2017 | Categories: newsIt seems like the Assassin’s Creed franchise is back to winning ways, with each new trailer that we see for Origins further amping up anticipation for this game. The latest one is titled Game of Power, and focuses on the power struggle that grips Ancient Egypt and the part gamers will play in the outcome as Bayek.
Drawing on actual ancient history, the storyline of Origins will feature figures like Cleopatra and Julius Caesar, as their politics determine what unfolds in the region. More pertinent to gamers, however, will be Ptolemy XIII, the ruler whose iron fist is crushing Bayek’s people, and part of the reason why he takes up the Assassin’s mantle.
While we’re yet to play the game proper, this most recent trailer proves that the cutscenes could be as entertaining to watch as playing the game. Hit play on the trailer below and see yet another reason why we can’t wait to play Assassin’s Creed Origins when it launches on 27 October.
