James Corden's Carpool Karaoke series has proved a massive hit for the comedian and The Late Late Show host, with the videos garnering major views on YouTube over the past couple of years. Corden even roped in Apple CEO Tim Cook, with the pair appearing alongside Pharrell Williams in a promo video moments before the iPhone 7 press conference got underway.

Now, the airdate for Apple's own Carpool Karaoke series has been announced, with the first episode set to appear on Apple Music come 8 August. Corden will be featured in the series, but he'll be one of several hosts, serving as drivers and singing instigators for the episodes. Looking at the trailer, some odd pairings have also been made, including Metallica and Billy Eichner, and Ariana Grande and Seth MacFarlane, which should make for entertaining viewing.

The series was initially slated to air in April this year, but got delayed for unknown reasons. Nevertheless, it should prove to see if Apple's Carpool Karaoke will be as popular as the original incarnation, as well as attract more users over to Apple Music. Until then, hit play on the video below and enjoy.
