Asus' Republic of Gamers (ROG) division should be well known to any avid PC gamer by now, and as such, news of their all new Maximus VIII Z170 Series gaming motherboards might have found you. If not however, read on and see what Asus' new PC offering has in store.

Announced earlier today, this new range of gaming motherboards comes in three distinct models - the Maximus VIII Hero, Maximus VIII Ranger and Maximus VIII Gene. All three new gaming motherboards are based on the latest Intel  Z170 Express chipset and engineered with multiple exclusive technologies. To that end, Asus says they deliver "epic overclocking performance" of Intel's 6th-generation processors and DDR4 memory.

Added to this, ROG’s new gaming offerings pack 5-Way optimisation auto-tuning technology for instant performance boosts, second-generation T-Topology for vastly improved DDR4 memory overclocking, as well as the Taiwanese manufacturer's best-ever cooling potential with a dedicated water-pump and multiple PWM onboard headers and thermal sensors. Furthermore, Pro Clock technology for turbo-charged base-clock (BCLK) frequencies is also onboard for each of these new gaming motherboards.

Other aspects included in the Maximus VIII Series is SupremeFX 2015 with Sonic Studio II, designed to deliver a best in-class audio experience according to Asus. The latest Intel Gigabit Ethernet, LANGuard and GameFirst technologies have also been thrown in for good measure. In terms of protection, Asus says the motherboard's smart DIY designs and premium components will ensure maximum durability.

For now, Asus has stayed mum on pricing, but has stated that all three of these units will be available from local distributors www.rebeltech.co.za, as well as www.aperturepc.co.za in coming weeks. In the interim, click on the video below to see the new Maximus VIII Series in action.
