Blizzard's MMO title Overwatch enters into public beta on 27 October
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 16 October 2015 | Categories: newsBlizzard showcased its MMO title Overwatch in November last year at BlizzCon 2014, which means it has been almost a year since we first saw it in action. In the modern world of game, that's an epoch, but in that time Blizzard has treated us to a number of gameplay videos showcasing the talents of its in-game roster of characters. Now, some more definitive news has been revealed, with the game set for public beta entry come 27 October.
While this would normally get us excited, Blizzard confirms that a select group of US gamers will have access to the beta, followed by those in Europe and Asia. Where South Africa falls in that equation is unknown, but it would be a travesty if we were unable to test it out, given how strong the game has looked to date.
Nevertheless, Overwatch looks primed to meet its expected release date early next year. In the interim, click on the gameplay trailer below.
