While Square Enix blew the collective minds of Final Fantasy fans with news of a Final Fantasy VII Remake (arguably the best in the series) earlier this year, a few other Japanese game developers are also jumping on the bandwagon. The latest is Nintendo, with the company announcing that Cloud Strife would be joining the roster for Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U and 3DS.

For those unfamiliar with Cloud, he's the dude with blonde Super Saiyan-esque hair and a massive sword that would give any Thanksgiving turkey a good working over. Cloud will be a new DLC for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. title, although Nintendo has not dated the game itself. That said, the company has stated that more news surrounding its release is expected in a December announcement.
