Comics and cosplay – two things you’re definitely going to find at the largest event on the local geek calendar: Comic Con Africa, happening 14 to 16 September at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit and International Convention Centre. You’ll also find these as some of the titles on offer in the latest Humble Bundles, available to purchase right now.

It’s been a fair amount of time since there was a decent comic bundle on Humble, and the latest is called The Summer Reading List Bundle, with about $492 worth of comics from Boom! Studios up for grabs. Admittedly, these might not be to the taste of superhero fans, with Boom! not churning out your regular skiet, skop and donner titles.

As always there are different tiers, with loads of titles to bag including a number of Lumberjanes, Giant Days and Bravest Warriors. We suppose one of the big reasons to cash in on the $15 bundle is Mouse Guard: Baldwin the Brave and Other Stories, but we’ll be honest, we’re not as excited about this one as comic bundles in the past.

If you’re prepping for Comic Con but don’t know a thing about how to make a cosplay costume, then head over to the Cosplay 2.0 bundle. In here you will find all the most useful info and helpful tips and tricks to pull off an awesome Boba Fett or, we suppose, Jar Jar Binks.

Everything from cosplay sewing, armour making, and props are covered, venturing also into wearable tech, 3D printing and lighting. You are bound to find what you are looking for in this bundle if an eye-catching cosplay is your dream. Our advice – buy this bundle now if you want to be ready for Comic Con, proper cosplay can take longer than you think.
