One of the best comic book movies we've seen in quite some time, Deadpool (review) is winning over plenty of critics who've become jaded by too many costumed hero flicks. That's saying a lot, especially as the movie hasn't officially hit cinemas yet, still to arrive this upcoming Valentine's Day weekend. As one might expect given how much attention the movie is getting, producers 20th Century Fox have already greenlit a sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

If the reports are true, it could spell great news for those who will no doubt enjoy the film when it releases later this week as Fox is aiming to keep star, Ryan Reynolds, and director, Tim Miller, together for the follow-up project. The pair of writers who penned the first Deadpool film, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, are also reportedly being wooed to join the sequel.

For our sakes, we hope all parties involved on the first film can be brought together for the second, as the results we’re sure will certainly be awesome.
