Deezer's new Xbox One app adds background music streaming

Yesterday Spotify officially launched in the country, bringing with it music streaming options for console gamers amongst others. For awhile it has been the go-to option for users wanting to stream background music on the gaming devices, but now rival platform Deezer has launched an Xbox One app for those who aren't keen on Spotify.
The Deezer Xbox One app is a little late to the party, which means it will find it hard to win over customers who have already committed to a paid subscription service. That said, this new app isn't strictly designed for them, but instead is aimed at users who are currently a part of the Deezer platform, and want to take that experience over to their consoles.
To that end, those users who are on the Free, Premium+, Student or Family plans can simply transition their profile over to the Xbox One once the app has been downloaded. At this stage it's unclear when South Africans can enjoy Deezer on the Xbox One, but the company does note that the app will be available in all countries where the console is sold.
