For all hobbysists out there, the Raspberry Pi boards have been a godsend, offering up possibilities to make and tinker with all manner of electronic device. With 2018 well underway, it's time for a new iteration to arrive, and luckily for us, one has in the form of the Raspberry Pi 3 B+.
It's a slight step up from the 2016 Model B version, and adds a few small improvements. The most significant of these are to the processor and wireless connectivity. To that end a new quad-core (ARM Cortex-CPU) chip is present, clocked at a respectable 1.4 GHz. Added to this is dual-band (802.11ac) wireless LAN and Bluetooth 4.2 capabilities, as well as Faster Gigabit ethernet via USB 2.0, according to the company.
All of this is set to retail for $35, which is the same price as the existing Model B.
