Dell XPS 15 – The Groundbreaking Design
By Staff Writer 13 October 2021 | Categories: sponsored contentSince its launch, the Dell XPS 15 has been praised by technology reviewers across the globe, calling it the “near-ideal 15.6-inch laptop”. The XPS 15 is packed with a myriad of productivity and performance features that have solidified its worldwide popularity.
Locally, the Dell XPS 15 is available to the channel from official distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC). “The Dell XPS 15 is a fantastic notebook that provides our channel partners with a powerful and truly immersive product offering,” says Heinrich Pretorius, Dell consumer product specialist at DCC.
The Dell XPS 15 features top camera placement and 4-sided InfinityEdge display with a five percent larger 16:10 screen (than its predecessor) and 92.9 percent screen to body ratio.
It comes in CNC machined aluminium platinum silver with a black carbon fibre palm rest and is packed with 10th Gen Intel Core processors (up to i9 processors with 8 cores and 16 threads), delivering desktop calibre power and creativity.
The notebook features Dell’s Eyesafe display technology that reduces harmful blue light and maintains vivid colour. It intelligently manages light energy at the source, selectively reducing harmful blue light and dispersing it across the light spectrum.
The Dell XPS 15 uses adaptive performance based on the latest Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology. With this predictive and adaptive engine, the notebook is actively changing the power of its CPU to optimise specific workloads.
For optimised performance, the notebook’s advanced thermal design includes dual fans separated to spread heat over a larger area. It also has dual heat pipes and hidden exhaust venting through the hinge.
The Dell XPS 15 is serious about sound, with quad speaker design, it is the first laptop to incorporate Waves Nx 3D Audio for Speakers tuned by multi-Grammy Award winning producer, Jack Joseph Puig.
The Dell XPS 15 is packed with advanced features such as:
- GeForce GTX 1650 Ti graphics performance or higher (GPU spec) depending on the XPS model;
- 100% Adobe RGB and 94% DCI-P3 colour gamut. The optional UHD+ display delivers saturated colours while a 1650:1 contrast ratio can experience super bright and darkest dark.;
- Dolby Vision content which provides highlights up to 40 times brighter, and blacks that are up to 10 times darker. Plus, the VESA certified DisplayHDR 400 display on the optional 4K+ panel delivers over 16 million colours;
- USB 3.1 and Thunderbolt 3 ports that are ideal for the full setup—speakers, mixing boards, monitors and other essentials whether at home or on stage; and
- Dell Mobile Connect.
