Demo for PES 2017 lands in PlayStation and Xbox stores
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 25 August 2016 | Categories: newsIn the world of football, rivalry and loyalty go hand in hand. The same goes for the gaming equivalent, and specifically FIFA vs. PES. The latter draws our attention at the moment, as developer Konami has released a free PES 2017 demo for the PlayStation and Xbox stores.
Whether the demo proves enticing enough to win over lifelong FIFA fans, remains to be seen, but PES' on-pitch gameplay in recent years has been very strong. Unfortunately, the lack of licensing for leagues and teams across the board still gives FIFA the edge overall though.
For this year's version, Konami has signed the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool, so you'll no longer have to play as the Merseyside Reds in-game. Konami has also improved the pass and ball control mechanics for PES 2017.
With its 13 September release date fast approaching, downloading the demo might be a worthwhile idea should you need some convincing to purchase the fully fledged version. A word of caution, however, as the demo for the PS4 version totals roughly 3.6 GB, which could dent that bandwidth cap.
