Live-action remakes of original cartoons appears to be in fashion. The Jungle Book will soon stand on two remakes, The Lion King is due next year, while another beloved Disney classic, Dumbo is set for a March 2019 release.

Leading the project is none other than Tim Burton, the man who bought us 2010’s Alice in Wonderland as well as Edward Scissorhands. It makes us believe that this version might be a lot darker in tone than the original.

Burton has incorporated long time collaborators Danny DeVito (Batman Returns) and Michael Keaton (Batman), while Eva Green (Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children) and Colin Farrell (The Lobster) also star.

There’s apparently no talking animals in this version, instead just a heartbroken and teased little elephant with big ears, his friends, and those wanting to exploit him. Dumbo is set to debut in late March 2019. Hit play on the new teaser below, and then check out Walt Disney’s trailer for the original 1941 movie.
