First fully fledged trailer for Power Rangers lands online
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 19 January 2017 | Categories: NewsAfter the first teaser for Power Rangers gave us reason for optimism, the newly unveiled full length trailer has shown that a movie remake of the beloved 90s TV show may not be all that bad. In it, our five young protagonists get to grip with their alien powers, as well as meeting their mentor Zordon (voiced by Bryan Cranston), confronting Rita Repulsa (played by Elizabeth Banks) and taking the Zords out for a spin.
While we're yet to see a more in-depth look at the characters and story amid all the action shown in the trailer, our initial assessment would place this film in the same sort of bracket as Hasbro's first Transformers. Luckily though, Michael Bay is not behind the camera, so the film hopefully will not descend into utterly chaotic action sequences.
Power Rangers is set for a 31 March release Stateside, which means there is still plenty of time for a second or even third trailer to arrive and pass judgement on. Until then, hit play on the new one below.
