Fitbit Versa Lite, Inspire HR and Inspire now available in South Africa
By Staff Writer 28 March 2019 | Categories: newsThere are a few more Fitbit wearables on the shelves in South Africa, with the company announcing the availability of the Versa Lite, Inspire HR and Inspire
The difference between the Versa Lite Edition and the regular Versa (review) is that the Lite cuts out the altimeter, swim tracking and a few side buttons, while you also don’t have space for onboard music. But for the rest, including looks, it remains basically the same. The change in price is a drop of about R500, with the Lite retailing for R3k. The Versa Lite Edition comes in white, lilac, mulberry and marina blue silicone bands.
Built for simple activity tracking the Fitbit Inspire will set you back R1299, with the Inspire HR throwing in heart rate tracking for an extra R700. On both you receive Fitbit’s sleep tracking and automatic exercise recognition. The Inspire HR is available in black, lilac and two-tone black and white, while the Inspire comes in black and sangria.
Although not available yet, if you’re looking for an activity tracker for the kids, Fitbit has you covered here too with the Ace 2. It’s waterproof to 50m and has a solid five days of battery life. The tracker can be set up through a Fitbit family account, which also allows parental control over the smartband. Unfortunately, this is coming to South Africa only later this year, with price not allocated yet. When it arrives, it should be available in Night Sky/Neon Yellow and Watermelon/Teal clasps.
