Galaxy S8 will reportedly retain its headphone jack
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 25 January 2017 | Categories: newsSamsung may not have anything planned for the Galaxy S8 at MWC 17 next month, but that hasn't stopped people talking about it. The company's next flagship is set to be unveiled the following month on 14 April, and now some new information about the device has been revealed.
According to The Guardian, which cites unnamed sources, the device is in fact meant to be launching in late March with a view to ship it by mid-April in select regions.
The British publication also notes that the S8 will indeed have a headphone jack, which conflicts with reports from late last year, as well as an "all-screen" display that will cover the entire front portion of the phone. Added to this, it's suggested that the Galaxy S8 will be launched alongside an updated version of the Gear VR headset and Gear 360 camera.
With other competitors likely jumping at the chance to impress at MWC next month with their flagships, Samsung will be hoping the Galaxy S8 remains one of the top Android devices around.
