It appears as if Google's new hardware plans are chugging along nicely. The company is expected to make a number of product announcements at its event next week on 4 October, but looking into next year, another device is believed to be on the way. Nicknamed the Pixel 3 internally, Android Police received confirmation from two reliable sources that a new notebook is arriving in Q3 2017.

While a notebook is not the most spectacular devices out there, what makes this one particularly noteworthy is that it will reportedly sport the Andromeda operating system. For those unfamiliar with Andromeda, it's supposedly a merger of both the Android and Chrome operating systems, but precisely what advantage it will have over both remains to be seen.

Moving back to the Pixel 3, its specs are not fully detailed or set in stone just yet, but Android Police's sources say the device will measure 12.3" (diagonally) and could either go the Lenovo Yoga 360-degree horizontal rotating display route, or Microsoft Surface Book detachable path. It could also sport an Intel m3 or i5 processor, along with up to 128 GB of storage and 16 GB of RAM, depending on configuration.

With its Q3 2017 unveiling still some distance away, more information on this Andromeda-sporting notebook will likely be forthcoming.
