SPOILERS AHEAD.

HBO is putting the finishing touches on the sixth season of Game of Thrones, set to hit screens in April this year. While many are still mulling over the fate of Jon Snow (we think he's still around), the American broadcaster has released three short teaser videos detailing what season six of the series has in store for some of the most significant families in Westeros.

The Starks of Winterfell are the first to receive a video, with bastard son Ramsay Bolton declaring himself the ruler of the Northern stronghold as the Stark's wolf banner sways in the breeze. Indeed, it has been a tough time for the Starks, with Ned, Catelyn and Rob all dead, and the young Stark daughters dealing with their own troubles. Could season six mark the end for their family?

One of the other iconic families in the series, the Lannisters, are in teaser number two, as the High Sparrow describes the power of the disenfranchised in King's Landing and their potential uprising. At the end of season five, Cerci is made to walk naked through city as punishment for her crimes, but as GoT has shown, she is not one to lie down for long. Perhaps season six will see the Lannisters remove the Sparrows from their nest?

The last teaser belongs to the Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen, as she finds her herself all alone once again. We never hear her speak, but rather the voice of an unimpressed Dothraki rider, proclaiming Khaleesi the "Queen of Nothing". It appears as if Daenerys is up against the ropes again, but she has come through worse in the past.
