Burnt
October 2015 (United Kingdom)
They say being a chef, let alone one at a Michelin star-rated restaurant, is one of the most intense jobs out there. Perhaps that explains why Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) looks so close to the breaking point in this debut trailer for Burnt.
As you've probably guessed, Cooper plays a chef in the film, which serves as a "psychological character study," according to director John Wells, who recently directed the underratedly brilliant August: Osage County.
Early on in the trailer (found below) we see that Jones quit high school at 16 to pursue his passion for the culinary arts in France, and has the lofty ambition of running the best restaurant in the world. As such, Wells' film explores to what extent Jones is willing to go to achieve it, even if it means putting some sous chefs to the sword.
Best Bit: Jones losing his cool at 0:50.
