World War II featured some of the most brutal battles in history. One of the most notable was the Battle of Dunkirk, where British, French and Belgian soldiers attempted to withstand wave after wave of German attacks. Taking place over several days during 1940 (26 May to 4 June), the Allied forces were forced to evacuate the French port and beachside.

Featuring the directing talents of Christopher Nolan, whose IMDB page features hit after hit, including Memento and Inception, we're expecting Dunkirk to not disappoint if his track record is anything to go by.
