Huawei has been serving up notebooks for a while now, with the MateBook 14 now available in South Africa. For those looking for a midrange notebook with a 2K Touch Screen, a generous 11-hour battery life with fast charging support and an 11th Gen Intel Core Processor, this one might just be it.  

Boasting a slim and sleek metal body and support for Wi-Fi 6, the notebook also brings the enhanced experience of Huawei Share for improved productivity across other Huawei devices, as well as the new and improved Huawei Shark Fin cooling system to keep it running smoothly, according to Huawei. The 14-inch FullView display comes with a 2160x1440 resolution which is also touch sensitive. Measuring at 15. 9mm thin and pulling the scale at 1.49 kg, this 14” notebook’s back-to-basics design is complemented by a sleek metal chassis that is sandblasted to produce a smooth, polished surface.

Battery life is also essential with any laptop, which is why the Huawei MateBook 14 comes with a 56Wh high-capacity battery that works together with Huawei’s smart power management solution that allows you to enjoy up to 11 hours of usage on a single charge. It also comes with a 65W USB Type-C power adaptor with support for multiple power output standard that’s fit not just for fast notebook charging, but also with Huawei SuperCharge when used with compatible Huawei devices.

Under the bonnet you’ll find an 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7 Processor, alongside dual-channel DDR4 (memory up to 16 GB) and a high-speed PCIe solid state drive of 512 GB.

Huawei is upfront with their service warranty, which is great. According to them, when you purchase the Huawei MateBook 14, you will get a two-year collect repair and return VIP service warranty with 24/7 online technical support valued at R1 299.

The Huawei MateBook 14, is now available on the Huawei Store (Online) and at Incredible Connection, Takealot, Vodacom & MTN, for a recommended R24 999. You also receive a Bluetooth mouse and backpack for mahala.
